Sauna in Charmey, in the Gruyère region
In our Nordic pavilion, discover our three dry steam saunas:
- Bio sauna: approx. 50°, humidity 35%
- Finnish sauna: 75°–80°
- Nude sauna: 90°
Ranging from 50° to 90°, the dry steam of the sauna is ideal for boosting your immune system (stimulating blood circulation, purifying the skin, and clearing the respiratory tract). It is also an excellent way to relieve muscle pain and release stress. Enjoy a moment of deep relaxation for the body and a soothing liberation of the mind.
To extend the benefits of the sauna, a cold-water plunge pool at 9°C is available — the perfect ally for stimulating blood circulation, toning and purifying the body, strengthening the immune system, and soothing muscles. Make the hot-cold contrast your health partner.

Sauna ceremony, free activity
Throughout the winter, three times a week, the thermal leisure center Les Bains de la Gruyère in Charmey offers an immersion into Scandinavian traditions through the free sauna ceremony. Twenty minutes in dry heat above 70 degrees releases toxins through sweating, which are then flushed out in a 9-degree cold-water bath. At the end of the ceremony, a touch of sugar and a few tangy, vitamin-rich slices of citrus fruit give the body a natural boost. Deep detoxification, relief of joint and muscle pain — this free ritual soothes the body from everyday stress and provides the mind with a refreshing escape.
Sessions available only from November to March:
- Friday – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday – 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday – 5:30 p.m.
