Bains opening times
The spa and thermal leisure center Les Bains de la Gruyère in Charmey near Bulle is open every day of the year:
- Sunday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Last entry: 1 hour before closing
- Exit: 20 minutes before closing
- Schedule for Wednesday, December 31, 2025: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Annual technical closure: from 6pm on Sunday 21 June until Friday 26 June. Reopening at 9am on Saturday 27 June.
Information and internal rules
- Children and babies of all ages are welcome! For babies, a waterproof diaper and a swimsuit worn over it are mandatory.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult, and children who cannot swim must remain under the supervision of their parents or legal guardians.
- Towels are not included in the entrance fee. Towels and swimsuits are, however, available for purchase at the Baths’ shop or at reception.
- Access to the Baths requires appropriate swimwear, as shown in the image opposite.
- Respectful behavior towards other guests, the bath facilities, staff, and safety rules must be observed.
- Access to the fitness area, oriental pavilion, nordic pavilion, and stainless-steel pool is reserved for guests aged 16 and over.
- A cash deposit of CHF 5 is required per access bracelet. Admission is valid for 3 hours. Additional charge per ½ hour and per person: CHF 5.
- Animals are not allowed at Les Bains de la Gruyère in Charmey.
- Picnics are not permitted anywhere within the facility.
- The entire establishment is non-smoking.

The spa and thermal leisure center Les Bains de la Gruyère in Charmey has a large free parking area in front of the establishment. Parking is allowed only in the designated yellow spaces. Overnight parking is prohibited.
Getting to the Bains de la Gruyère
From Geneva: Take the A1 towards Lausanne, continue on the A12 towards Fribourg/Bern, exit at Bulle, follow the signs to Charmey, and stay on the main road until you reach Charmey.
From Lausanne: Take the A9 and then the A12 towards Fribourg/Bern, exit at Bulle, and follow the signs to Charmey via the cantonal road.
From Zurich: Take the A1 towards Bern, at Bern follow the A12 towards Fribourg/Vevey, exit at Bulle, and follow the signs to Charmey.
From Bern: Take the A12 towards Fribourg/Vevey, exit at Bulle, and take the cantonal road towards Charmey.
